Incheon to Provide Support to Stranded Foreigners

The Incheon City government will provide emergency support to foreigners stranded at Incheon International Airport due to the volcanic eruption in Iceland.

City officials say it will provide pillows, toiletries and drinking water to some 250 foreigners who are in makeshift shelters in the lounge and employee rest areas.

With Europe-bound flights being grounded in Incheon for the fifth day, the city government has decided to provide the support from a humanitarian standpoint. The items have been chosen following discussions with officials from embassies of seven European nations.
