The U.S. remains cautious about what caused the sinking of South Korea’s “Cheonan” warship late last month.

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said Monday that he won’t get into hypotheticals at this point and that the U.S. will have more to say when the ongoing investigation into the incident is completed.

State Department spokesman Philip Crowley also said that the U.S. is not making any assumptions, and that implications will be drawn when the investigation arrives at a final judgment.
