The U.N. Research Institute for Social Development will host an international forum on social development both online and offline ahead of Seoul's hosting of the Group of 20 summit.

The forum will deal with a variety of issues from fighting poverty to resolving food shortages and climate change in relation to the G20 summit's agenda.

An online forum will be opened as early as this month to provide information and encourage open discussions on the topics online.

Seoul will also host a three-day development policy meeting October 4-6 with some 60 experts invited.
