NK Leader’s Train Arrives in Dalian

A special train reportedly carrying North Korean leader Kim Jong-il arrived in the northeastern Chinese city of Dalian at 10:40 a.m. Monday.

Sources say that following the arrival of the train, 15 limousines traveled from Dalian Station to the central downtown district of the city in Liaoning Province with a police escort.

The sources say that the North Korean leader, if he is indeed in the city, might visit a port region of Dalian that is considered to be a model for North Korea’s project to develop its cities of Najin and Seonbong.

The train arrived in the Chinese border city of Dandong at 6:15 a.m. and made a 15-minute stop before continuing on further into China.

Beijing has not officially confirmed the North Korean leader’s visit.
