160,000 Visit S.Korean Pavilion at Shanghai Expo

The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) says the South Korean pavilion at the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai has been visited by some 160-thousand people as of Friday.

The agency said that since the expo opened May first, the pavilion has been visited by a daily average of 23-thousand people.

A KOTRA official said that the number of visitors to the South Korean pavilion is slightly lower than the original estimate because the overall number of visitors at the expo is lower than expected.

The official, however, noted that 15 percent of all visitors to the expo have visited the South Korean pavilion, two times the projected figure.

The agency added that a local media outlet named the South Korean pavilion one of ten attractions that should be photographed.
