A South Korean business group has donated pianos to Thailand in a way to express its gratitude for the South Asian country’s participation in the Korean War on South Korea’s behalf.

The chairman of the Booyoung Group donated 63-hundred digital pianos to Thailand on Tuesday afternoon.

The number of pianos donated means that of Thai forces dispatched to South Korea for the war.

The donation ceremony was held in a school in Bangkok with Korean War veterans and students of Thailand, the South Korean ambassador to Bangkok and the Thai education minister in attendance.

Booyoung has built elementary schools and donated digital pianos in other Southeast Asian countries such as Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos.
