US Nuke Envoy to Visit S.Korea for Forum

U.S. nuclear envoy Sung Kim will visit South Korea for three days on Wednesday to attend the Korea Global Forum in Seoul.

Kim, along with Georgetown University professor and regional expert Victor Cha, will head a U.S. delegation that plans to discuss security on the Korean Peninsula and the North Korean nuclear issue.

Kim will also exchange opinions with South Korean government officials on sanctions against the North and ways to resume the six-party talks.

The Korea Global Forum, established this year by the Unification Ministry, will see the participation of current and former government officials and civilian experts from ten nations including the U.S., Japan, China and Russia. This year’s forum will run under the theme of the Korean Peninsula as seen from global and regional perspectives.
