Bloomberg news agency says that North Korea is developing and exporting mobile-phone games to help raise foreign currency funds for the impoverished nation.

Quoting executives at the Pyongyang-based Nosotek Joint Venture Company, which markets North Korean gaming software for foreign customers, Bloomberg said that North Korea’s General Federation of Science and Technology has developed mobile games based on the movies “The Big Lebowski” and “Men in Black.”

Both games were published by Ojom GmbH, which was bought by media tycoon Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation and later renamed “Fox Mobile.”

But a spokeswoman for Fox Mobile declined to provide more details on whether North Korean companies were involved in development for Ojom.
