A number of top U.S. diplomats will visit Seoul, Tokyo and Beijing next week to discuss issues related to North Korea.

U.S. State Department spokesman Philip Crowley told reporters on Tuesday that Special Representative for North Korea Policy Stephen Bosworth, top nuclear envoy Sung Kim, and the National Security Council’s Asia Director Daniel Russell will be in Seoul from Sunday to Tuesday, Tokyo from Tuesday to Wednesday and Beijing from Wednesday to Thursday for discussions on North Korea.

Asked if Washington sees Seoul’s provision of humanitarian aid to Pyongyang and the North’s release of a fishing boat crew as a positive sign, Crowley only said that it is important that North Korea and South Korea have a constructive relationship.
