US Medical Aid Arrived in NK Last Week

The U.S. says that medical supplies it shipped out last week as part of Washington’s response to North Korea’s request for humanitarian aid have arrived.

U.S. State Department spokesman Philip Crowley said a cargo plane delivered medical supplies worth 750-thousand U.S. dollars to Pyongyang on September second to help the North Koreans hit by recent heavy rains and floods.

U.S. special envoy for North Korean human rights Robert King recently told Voice of America that Washington would make the aid available to North Korea from a humanitarian stance.
