A Japanese daily says North Korea's Workers' Party conference will likely start on Wednesday.

Quoting a source familiar with North Korean affairs, the Yomiuri Shimbun reported on Tuesday that party delegates across the nation had gathered in Pyongyang as of Monday and had completed their registration.

The source reportedly said preparation to hold the delegation's conference on the 15th is moving forward.

The paper added the party announced on June 23rd that it will hold the gathering in the first part of September. It also stated that the party's official "Rodong Shinmun" reported last Monday that party delegates were gathering in Pyongyang, but there has been no reports on the event coming out since.
