S.Korea Donates $1Mln to GAVI Alliance

South Korea has decided to donate one million U.S. dollars to the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization or GAVI Alliance.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade says it signed in New York on Thursday an agreement with the institution’s secretariat to donate the fund to the organization.

The Geneva-based GAVI Alliance is a global health partnership set up in 2000 between the private and public sectors with the mission of saving children's lives and protecting people's health by increasing access to immunization in poor countries.
