Japanese companies, including Toyota and Toshiba, will visit South Korea to procure parts for their products.

The Korea International Trade Association says it will hold a fair for parts and raw materials procurement between South Korea and Japan. KITA is holding the event in collaboration with the South Korean Ministry of Knowledge Economy and their Japanese government counterparts in economy and trade. The fair will be held for two days from Wednesday to Thursday in Seoul.

At this event, some eleven finished car makers, including Toyota, Nissan and Honda, that want to purchase South Korean auto parts will attend. Eleven other manufacturers, including Toshiba, that want to purchase other machinery parts from Korea will also be present.

Some 130 South Korean companies will participate, with plans for a total of some 240 one-on-one discussions.

This event will be the second of its kind as there was a previous fair held in April last year. This year, the parts exhibition will be jointly held with the third South Korea-Japan industrial technology fair.
