Korean Ghosts Appear in New York Halloween Festival

A number of South Korean students studying in the U.S. attended the world’s largest Halloween festival in New York on October 31st, donning costumes of figures found in traditional Korean folklore.

The students dressed up as Korean-style ghosts and angels and paraded up and down the streets of Manhattan.

This is the first time figures from traditional Korean folklore have been represented in the New York Halloween parade, in which some 50-thousand people take part each year.
