Lee, Hu Agree to Cooperate for Success of G20 Summit

President Lee Myung-bak and Chinese President Hu Jintao have agreed to actively cooperate for the success of the G20 summit in Seoul.

The two agreed to do so during a meeting at the presidential office on Thursday afternoon.

Hu stressed the significance of the gathering, noting that South Korea is the first Asian country and the first emerging country to host a G20 summit.

Lee thanked China for actively sharing its experiences of economic growth with North Korea.

Lee and Hu also agreed to expand exchanges in various areas, saying that the two nations have grown closer since they upgraded their bilateral ties to a strategic partnership.
