War veterans associations in South Korea and the U.S. have unveiled a statue to mark the 60th anniversary of their fight in the Korean War.

The associations on Friday unveiled the statue displaying a South Korean soldier and an American soldier in combat uniforms at a veterans park in the U.S. state of Texas on Veterans Day.

Attending the unveiling ceremony, chairman of a Korean army association Paek Sun-yeop thanked the Korean War veterans who fought for Korea’s freedom.

The statue was produced with the donations from the two nations’ veterans associations.
