The head of the European Central Bank says that he agrees with the Seoul Declaration's goals of expanding growth and stabilizing the global economy. The declaration was adopted following Friday's completion of the G20 summit.

Jean-Claude Trichet told the French daily “Le Progres” that as the next hosting country of the G20 Summit, France will have to take on the mission of coming up with an index to measure the trade deficits of countries.

He stressed that the biggest responsibility for the next hosting country is to work to correct global economic imbalances, which is important to prevent another economic crisis.
