A new survey finds that Chinese youths are more nationalistic than those in South Korea, the U.S. or Japan.
According to the survey conducted by South Korea’s Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, China scored an 84-point-two in terms of national pride. China was followed by the U.S. at 70-point-six, South Korea at 62-point-nine and Japan at 55-point-three.
The survey was conducted on 24-hundred elementary, middle and high school students of the four countries.
In terms of being aware of their country’s global status, youths in the U.S. scored the highest at 83-point-five. Japan followed with a score of 74-point-seven, then China at 72-point-nine and South Korea at 62-point-four.
On how determined a nation is to develop ties with neighboring countries, South Korea ranked at the top with a score of 80-point-nine followed by the U.S. and Japan.
In terms of a nation’s willingness to take part in a war should one break out, China scored a 74-point-eight. China was followed by South Korea at 56-point-three, the U.S. at 49-point-seven and Japan at 29-point-three.
