U.S. media are continuously covering North Korea’s artillery attack on Yeonpyeong Island.
CNN said Friday that the once bustling little community is now a ghost town with hundreds of people having fled the island. A CNN reporter who visited the island for an up-close look at the aftermath said “everywhere there is destruction on South Korea's tiny Yeonpyeong Island. Houses are incinerated, treasured possessions now charred remains.”
CNN also covered stories on South Korean Defense Minister Kim Tae-young’s resignation, Seoul’s plans to revise its rules of engagement and the North’s statement that it will deal without hesitation further physical retaliatory blows if it is provoked by South Korea.
Fox News also actively covered the North’s attack by reporting on ways the Obama administration is planning to deal with the recent incident.
