A South Korean travel special is being aired by the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) in the U.S.

The feature on the program "Rudy Maxa's World" on PBS is being aired with funding support from the Korea Tourism Organization's New York chapter as a way of promoting 2011 Visit Korea Year.

Rudy Maxa's Korea episode began airing in the U.S. in late November. It aired for the first time in New York and New Jersey this past Saturday.

The program featured Korean cuisine, shopping in South Korea, the nation’s economic advancement and other modern aspects of Seoul.

It also introduced the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Andong and Gyeongju.
