Japanese Nuke Envoy to Visit China

Japan’s chief nuclear negotiator Shinsuke Sugiyama will reportedly visit China to discuss the stalled six-way denuclearization talks.

Sources in the Japanese government say that Sugiyama will meet with his counterpart Wu Dawei next week.

The sources also say that Sugiyama will attend the Trilateral Strategic Dialogue being held in Hawaii beginning next Monday. Japan, the U.S., and Australia will partake in the talk, where they will discuss the situation on the Korean Peninsula and issues related to the Asia-Pacific region.
