South Korean residents of Tunisia are fleeing the North African nation amid continued political instability.

Samsung Electronics evacuated a group of ten workers and their families earlier this week, and LG Electronics has also decided to evacuate nine people, including employees and the families of the employees.

Sixty members of the Korea International Cooperation Agency who were volunteering in Tunisia have also returned home.

A Korean association chairman in the country says that although a public uprising has overthrown the dictatorship, people loyal to former President Ben Ali continue to exchange fire with government forces.
