Lee Condemns Moscow Bombing, Offers Condolences

South Korean President Lee Myung-bak offered his condolences to the Russian people for the deadly terrorist bombing at an international airport near Moscow.

Lee’s spokesman Kim Hee-jung said Lee expressed in a telegram to Russian President Dmitry Medvedev that South Korea firmly believes that acts of terrorism are not justifiable.

The South Korean president offered a message of condolence to the victims and bereaved families and wished for the quick recovery of the wounded.

The explosion occurred at around 4:30 p.m., Tuesday local time, at the international section of Domodedovo Airport.

Authorities said the explosion was most likely carried out by a suicide bomber, adding that more than one person may have been involved in the blast.

There are at least 35 dead and more than 100 wounded from the explosion.
