South Korea and the U.S. are expected to conclude work soon on the final text of their free trade agreement (FTA).

South Korea's Deputy Minister for Trade Ahn Ho-young told reporters Wednesday that both sides have been working since December on the final text of the trade pact and are nearing an agreement on a number of key issues.

Ahn said the two sides are expected to soon announce the final text of the deal.

Seoul is expected to officially sign the trade agreement after the completed document is reviewed by the Ministry of Government Legislation and the Cabinet.
