Another S.Korean Construction Site Raided in Libya

Another South Korean construction site in Libya has been looted by locals.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Libyans raided a South Korean company’s construction site and dorm in Libya's eastern port city of Benghazi on Sunday. They stole computers and construction equipment during the raid.

But no casualties were reported, as South Korean workers took refuge immediately.

Previously, some 300 Libyans had raided a construction site of a South Korean company in the northeastern city of Darnah last Thursday.

The Foreign Ministry said that the situation is growing unstable in the African country, predicting the recurrence of similar raids.

Seoul is considering evacuating South Korean expatriates from the eastern region of the country to the capital area if the situation gets worse.
