Multinational forces continued to stage strikes on Tripoli for a third day on Tuesday.

According to CNN, three loud explosions were heard in downtown Tripoli on Tuesday as coalition forces continued attacks on the capital city.

A Libyan government spokesman claimed that casualties had resulted from the coalition forces’ attacks against several ports and an airport in Sirte, which is the hometown of Libyan leader Muammar Gadhafi.

The coalition forces’ targets reportedly included the southern town of Sebha, which is the bastion of Gadhafi's Guededfa tribe.

Meanwhile, some Arabic media said that Gadhafi’s youngest son, Khamis, died on Monday in the allied bombings. However, the Libyan government denied the reports.

The 27-year-old Khamis is a commander of the 32nd Brigade against rebel forces.
