The South Korean embassy in India has held an event to celebrate the designation of 2011 as "Year of India" in South Korea and "Year of South Korea" in India.

A speech by South Korean Ambassador to India Kim Jung-keun on Saturday opened the 2011 South Korea Festival in New Delhi.

The festival, featuring various events including bibimbap making and Korean traditional music and dance performances, drew many Indian visitors.

Especially, a b-boying performance along with “samulnori,” a quartet of traditional Korean instruments, received great response from young Indians. The same performances will be shown on Sunday again.

Even after the festival, a food court and exhibition booths will continue to serve Korean food.
