One-point-one million South Koreans visited the United States last year, which is up 49 percent from the previous year.

According to 2010 tourism data released by the U.S. Department of Commerce, the number of South Korean visitors in the U.S. was the eighth highest.

Among the top 50 countries in terms of the number of tourists to the U.S. last year, South Korea posted the highest year-over-year growth.
