Actress Yoon Receives French Gov't Arts Award

Actress Yoon Jung-hee who played the heroine in the award-winning film "Poetry" will receive the Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters award from the French Government.

The French film circle and the government announced Yoon as the recipient of the award, which is bestowed by the French Culture Minister to noteworthy contributors to the arts and literature.

Her film "Poetry" gained spotlight in France since it opened there last August and the French National Center of Cinematography and the Moving Image recommended her for the honor.

Her husband, noted pianist Paik Kun-woo, received the same award in 2001.
