Korean singer and actor Rain has won the top spot in the annual TIME 100 poll. In the online poll, the U.S. magazine asked readers to rank who they think are the world’s most influential people.

By the time the poll closed Thursday night, the Korean pop star had garnered over 400-thousand “influential” votes. This isn't the first Rain has topped the list. He also won in 2006 and 2007 and ranked second in 2008.

Coming in at a distant second this year was Taiwanese singer and actor Jay Chou. Britain’s Got Talent phenomenon Susan Boyle came in third.

Based on the online poll results, TIME will on Thursday release its final list of the top 100 influential people of this year.
