Thailand Considering Acquiring S.Korean Subs

Thailand is reportedly considering buying two South Korean submarines.

The Bangkok Post reported on Tuesday that Thai Defense Minister Prawit Wongsuwon discussed the acquisition of two South Korean submarines at one-point-45 trillion won during a Thai defense committee meeting earlier this month.

Thailand is in the market for two Type U-209 class diesel-electric submarines. The South Korean Sub has a displacement of 12-hundred tons and can carry up to 30 crew members.
