NK, China Sign Agreement on Joint Development of Rasun

North Korea’s Rasun City and China’s Jirin Province have reportedly agreed on a framework to a joint development plan for the Rasun special economic zone.

Jirin Ribao, a local daily in China, reported that officials from the two sides signed the basic agreement on the development plan on Friday in a hotel in Changchun city.

The details of the agreement were not disclosed. However, the joint development is believed to continue for ten years, starting from 2011 until 2020, given that the title of the contract includes the years.
