Lee to Embark on Tour of Central Asia

President Lee Myung-bak will be visiting three Central Asian nations, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan, from Sunday for six days.

On Monday, in Mongolia’s capital Ulan Bator as a state guest, Lee will meet with Mongolian president Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj to discuss upgrading bilateral ties and ways to increase bilateral collaboration over the mid-to long-term.

On Tuesday, in Uzbekistan’s capital Tashkent as a state guest, Lee will have a summit with President Islom Karimov to exchange views on developing bilateral ties to a strategic partnership, health and medical care, economic cooperative plans and the international situation.

On Thursday, on an official visit for his last stop, Lee will meet with Nursultan Nazarbayev in Kazakhstan to discuss increasing trade and investment as well as developing energy and resources. They will also discuss agricultural cooperation.
