Apple Allegedly Falsified Evidence in Netherlands for Samsung Lawsuit

Dutch IT publication Webwereld has reported that Apple submitted photographic evidence to a Dutch court that falsified the size of Samsung’s Galaxy S smartphone. This follows a related case between the two electronics giants of another alleged distortion of evidence in Germany.

The medium said that Apple’s falsified evidence was to back up its claim that its iPhone 3G and Samsung Electronics’ Galaxy S smartphone are similar. Apple reportedly reduced the size of the Galaxy S by some six-percent to appear as the same size as the iPhone3G in photographic evidence submitted to a Hague court in the Netherlands.

The medium said that it asked Apple’s legal counsels on the issue, but Apple declined to respond. It said Samsung did not comment, either, saying the lawsuit is currently in progress.
