NK-Russia Summit Due to Open Wednesday

North Korean leader Kim Jong-il will hold a summit with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on Wednesday in the Siberian city of Ulan-Ude.

Kim arrived at the industrial city in eastern Siberia via a special train and took a tour around Lake Baikal and industrial facilities, including an airplane manufacturing plant.

During Wednesday’s summit, Kim and Medvedev are expected to discuss various issues concerning the Korean Peninsula, including the issue of resuming the stalled six-way nuclear talks.
