Kremlin: Kim, Medvedev to Discuss 6-way Talks

The Kremlin has announced that North Korean leader Kim Jong-il and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev will discuss the North's nuclear program and bilateral economic cooperation during their summit.

In a media statement Wednesday, the Kremlin said the talks will focus on the resumption of the six-party nuclear dialogue in an effort to resolve the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula.

The statement said that Russia has consistently supported a peaceful and diplomatic solution to restore inter-Korean dialogue and cooperation.

Russia's Itar-Tass news agency has also cited a Kremlin official as saying that Kim and Medvedev will discuss the terms to swiftly resuming the six-way talks.
