'Russia Proposes to Educate NK Heir on Global Affairs'

A Japanese daily says that Russia has proposed to send an official to North Korea to educate Kim Jong-il’s son and political heir on global intelligence matters.

The Sankei Shimbun says that Russian intelligence authorities broached this proposal during preparatory talks to arrange the summit between North Korean leader Kim Jong-il and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.

Kim's third son Jong-un is tapped as the heir to succeed his father.

The daily says that North Korea has also hinted at accepting the idea. It also says it's unusual for a prospective leader of a sovereign nation to be trained by a foreign spy agency on global affairs.
