Armed insurgents in Libya have looted the South Korean embassy in Tripoli.

A Foreign Ministry official said some 30 insurgents broke into the embassy and took electronic appliances and furniture.

There were no casualties as embassy staff is currently in Tunisia. Bangladeshi people who were guarding the embassy at the time were reportedly unharmed as well.

The ministry official said Libya is currently lacking security and that the ministry would decide when it deems safe for the embassy personnel to return to the North African nation.
