Chinese media report five more people were found to have been infected with the H7N9 strain of avian influenza over the weekend.

Xinhua News says health authorities in Shanghai confirmed Sunday that two men in their 50s and 60s contracted the new avian flu.

The safety bureau in Anhui province also announced a 55-year-old man in the poultry trade business contracted the virus.

There are now 21 confirmed cases in China, with six proving fatal.
