US Says Hacking Harms China's Interests

A high-ranking U.S. official has warned that hacking that originates from China is undermining its relationship with the U.S. and harms Beijing's long-term interests.

U.S. Undersecretary of State for Economic Growth Robert Hormats issued the warning on Tuesday at the sixth U.S.-China Internet Industry Forum in Beijing.

Hormats urged China to take firm action against hacking, saying that the level of cyber intrusions originating from China that result in the theft of sensitive information has reached very critical point.
