Google has suggested a formal settlement proposal to the European Union amid an ongoing probe by the EU into the company’s alleged violation of anti-trust regulations.

The EU Competition Commission says it completed its preliminary assessment after an investigation over the past few weeks. The commission said that Google then made a formal submission of proposals to the commission based on this assessment.

It added that it is now preparing to get feedback from market players, including complainants, on Google's commitment proposals.
