A historic Korean medical book and its author have been introduced on two postage stamps in the United States.

A Korean media company in the state of New Jersey said it issued the stamps to mark the 400th anniversary of the publication of the "Donguibogam," and to commemorate its author Heo Jun.

The "Donguibogam," or the Principles and Practice of Eastern Medicine is a compilation of Oriental medicine by Heo Jun who combined Korean and Chinese medical science with his own experience and research results. 

The medical bible was added to the UNESCO Memory of the World Register in July 2009.
