N. Korea Ranked 23rd Among Failed States

A U.S. magazine ranked North Korea 23rd among failed states. 

Foreign Policy magazine unveiled the ranking on Thursday as it released its annual Failed States Index for this year. Using 12 social, economic, political and military indicators, the magazine ranked 178 states on their vulnerability to violent internal conflict and societal dysfunction.

Somalia topped the list followed by the Republic of the Congo, Sudan and South Sudan. 

South Korea, meanwhile, ranked 157th.
