'15, 16 Survivors Still Unconscious from Asiana Crash'

AFP reports that doctors at a San Francisco hospital say some of the most seriously injured in the Asiana Airlines flight crash remain unconscious.

The French news agency said that chief of surgery at San Francisco General Hospital Margaret Knudson said Sunday, local time, that of the patients in the hospital, 15 or 16 have yet to regain consciousness. She explained the most critical cases are those with head trauma or major abdominal bleeding.

In all, two 16-year old Chinese girls were killed in the incident, while 182 people were hospitalized, including some 40 seriously injured. One-hundred-23 managed to walk away unscathed.
