Pres. Park Offers Consolation to Asiana Crash Victims

Following the news of the crash-landing of a South Korean jet in San Francisco, President Park Geun-hye expressed her consolation for the victims and their families. 

Presidential spokeswoman Kim Haeng delivered the president's message on Sunday. She also said that the South Korean government will put its best efforts forth to swiftly handle the situation. 

On Monday, Prime Minister Chung Hong-won paid condolences to the young Chinese victims who died in the crash of the Asiana Airlines Boeing 777. 
 
In an opening ceremony for this year’s meeting of South Korean consuls general in Seoul, the prime minister expressed sympathy for the crash victims and their families and offered words of encouragement to South Korean diplomats who are working to resolve the situation.
 
Chung asked South Korean overseas missions to provide heartfelt assistance for the foreign victims as well as South Korean ones.
   
The prime minister also asked South Korean consuls general to support the government’s four major tasks by actively aiding seven-point-two million Korean expatriates and small and middle-sized companies making inroads into overseas markets.
