Officials: Asiana Crash Victim Possibly Run Over by Rescue Vehicle

A possibility has been raised that one of the teenage Chinese girls killed in Saturday's Asiana Airlines plane crash may have been run over by an emergency vehicle at the San Francisco International Airport.

San Francisco Assistant Deputy Fire Chief Dale Carnes told reporters that a rescue apparatus may have “contacted” one of the victims on the scene.

One of the girls’ bodies was found on the runway near where the plane’s tail fell off upon impact while the other was found not far from an evacuation slide.

San Francisco Fire Chief Joanne Hayes-White told the San Francisco Chronicle on Sunday that the girl found on the side of the airplane had injuries consistent with having been run over.
