Norway Has World’s Highest Cost of Living

A survey shows that Norway is the world’s most expensive country to live in.

Numbeo, a global database on living conditions, said that Norway ranked first on its consumer price index with 173-point-85, the highest among 102 countries surveyed.

Switzerland ranked second, followed by Australia, Luxemburg and Demark.

Korea came in 35th place with 80-point-44. India was found to be the cheapest country to live in with a reading of 30-point-92.

Numbeo calculates the consumer price index by factoring in grocery prices, the cost of eating out, transportation fares and public service charges.
