The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell 75-point-11 points, or two-point-45 percent, on Wednesday to close at two-thousand-994-point-98.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing 30-point-29 points, or three-point-23 percent, to close at 906-point-31.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened one-point-six won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-112-point-two won.
