The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell eight-point-51 points, or zero-point-34 percent, on Monday, ending the day at two-thousand-474-point-65. 

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing one-point-68 points, or zero-point-23 percent, closing the day at 729-point-54.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened seven-point-five won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-325-point-nine won.
