Geum-bi of Turtles Remembers Turtleman
Geum-bi, former vocalist for Turtles, remembered the late Turtleman (real name Lim Sung-hoon) in her first solo album. After a brief 2-year retirement following the sudden death of Turtleman, Geum-bi has turned solo as a traditional K-pop, also known as trot, singer. She has released a new album in which she wrote of her gratitude and longing for the Turtles’ leader in the “special thanks to” corner.

She wrote that Turtleman had taught her how to walk and that she had learned a lot over the eight years that they’d worked together. She thanked him for teaching her so much about life and vowed to remember him and all the happy moments they shared. She also wrote that she misses Z-E, another member of Turtles. Geum-bi’s first TV appearance as a solo artist will be on the music variety show Music Bank on March 19th.
